Cambodia: Angkor Wat, too many tourists at risk masterpieces
Images of ordinary overcrowding from Angkor Wat, the famous religious site in Cambodia, Siem Reip region, 300 kilometers north west from Pnomh Penh. One of the wonders of the world, Unesco World Heritage site, which in post-Communist country now attracts more and more - exponentially - visitors, local and not. As with many ancient sites of mass tourism object (think of Machu Picchu, Peru, always subject to collapse from overload human), also the site cambodian is forced to impose religious rules - such as the prohibition of "escalation" of the steps of the most famous temples. Prohibition, which, however, is constantly filled, by the visitors to chase the souvenir photos, or the image of the sunset on the area in which shine more than a thousand temples
